Belgian Thomas Detry and Austrian Sepp Straka, both Ryder Cup hopefuls, have had interesting days.

Detry, who bogeyed the first followed by six pars, has gone birdie-birdie to close the front nine and bogey-bogey to begin the back. He’s at +1.

Straka at evens after 11 pars on the spin.

Justin Thomas goes bogey, birdie, bogey through Nos. 2, 3 and 4 to sit 2-under overall; Frenchman Adrien Saddier is 4-under for today, 2-under overall, with five birdies and all pars after bogeying the tricky first.
